Prescription Verification Process
At Mislens, your eye health and wearing safety are important to us.
According to the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA), all contact lens sellers in the United States are required to verify a customer’s valid contact lens prescription before completing an order for prescription lenses.
To ensure compliance and provide a safe shopping experience, Mislens follows the official prescription verification process outlined below.
1. Submit The Copy
To start the verification, you need to upload a valid copy (photo/scan) of the prescription. There are two methods that could be best for you to handle it in the most efficient and easiest way:
- When you are create an account with Mislens
- When you check out in the shopping cart
You can also submit the copy or photo scan to the email: contact@mail.myeyebb.com with your name and order ID.
2. Prescription Verification
Please provide us with your priscriber’s name and contact methods like email or phone number, and we will directly contact them to verify your prescription as soon as possible. As mentioned above, the Contact Lens Rule allows eight-business-hours response time for the prescribers, and if there is no response after that, the prescription will be automatically verified. In addition, a business hour is defined as one hour between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, in the prescriber’s time zone.
What If I Don’t Have a Prescription?
You can easily find a doctor near to you to schedule a test by some online relevant service providers such as Visibly. Please send us the copy after you receive the prescription.
